Public Survey

The Medieval Settlement Research Group (MSRG) has been supporting the study of historic rural settlements for decades through fieldwork, grants, events and publications. In order to ensure this support is as wide-reaching and effective as possible, we are now conducting a survey to find out what sort of support people and local groups interested in medieval settlement histories would value most.

Please complete the survey using the button above  if you are interested in medieval rural settlements in any way – as a resident, researcher, community group member – and whether you or your group are interested in advancing knowledge of historic settlements and/or connecting with discoveries by others – or aren’t sure. The survey includes questions about your location, previous activity related to settlement studies, and potential future interest.

The survey will take approximately 11 minutes to complete. All responses are entirely anonymous, no data will be passed to any other organisations, and a summary of the results will be posted on the MSRG website. Any queries can be submitted via the contact page on the MSRG website.

Many thanks if you do complete the survey, it will be much appreciated.
