Rhiannon Comeau

Committee, 2016 –rc-photo-msrg

Rhiannon is completing a PhD at UCL Institute of Archaeology, developing investigations of the pre-Conquest Welsh landscape that began when she was a continuing education student at Birkbeck and Cambridge. She has a particular interest in medieval and early medieval settlement in Wales, and – more generally – in the estates, focal places and agricultural systems of the early medieval period; she has helped to establish a collaborative pilot project to identify assembly sites in Wales. The research which preceded her PhD has been published in Medieval Archaeology, Landscape History and Archaeologia Cambrensis. More details of her ongoing AHRC-funded research can be found here: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/archaeology/people/research/comeau
