Student Representative, 2015 –
I am currently completing my PhD in Archaeology at Queen’s University Belfast. My project has used manorial accounts to investigate the buildings of the manorial curia of fourteenth-century England, considering the types of buildings and their materials and maintenance. Previously I have carried out research into Irish Tower Houses, examining whether their doorways were for display or defence. My research interests include medieval buildings and settlement across the British Isles and Europe, and community archaeology. I am also the Honorary Newsletter Editor for the Ulster Archaeological Society.
